When to buy nursing bras - a bit confused

I hope I'm in the place, apologies if not.

This is my first and Im a bit confused about when to get fitted for nursing bras. All the fitters I have spoken to have said go for a fitting a few weeks before baby is due...but I have also read you can continue to change shape afterwards. I'd rather not buy a load of bras that I can't use because they end up being the wrong size.

I bought a bravado bra recently (v comfy) as I had grown out of my last set of maternity bras in the hope i could wear it post pregnancy for feeding. I have also bought two nursing vest tops - is this going to be enough to see me through the first few weeks? I wondered about buying another bravado one and waiting a few weeks after baby is born to get fitted with bras or going and getting measured a few weeks before baby is due, as the fitters have suggested. What are your thoughts?

I got a couple of cheap ones towards the end of pregnancy and then got properly fitted after the baby was born. The ones I bought were sports-type ones which had a range of sizes on the label, but I am small-boobed so might not be as comfy if you are larger.

When I had my first my boobs grew in pregnancy but when my milk came in they were MASSIVE! I went up by about 4 cup sizes! I recommend getting measured after baby comes and getting some interim ones (or making do with what you have so far). I'm pregnant with DC3 and I am waiting until after the birth, though I don't expect them to grow as much as the first time as they have stayed slightly bigger after each pregnancy.

I'm going to get a Lorna Drew nursing bra as each bra is adjustable in both back and cup sizes. I'm on my phone so can't link to the website but it's easy to find via Google if you want to have a look. Congratulations btw.

I bought 2 of these 1 week before my due date. I then bought 2 of these when baby was 4 weeks old.

I bought a couple of bravado seamless silks before DS arrived. I ended up wearing them for the final month of pregnancy as the elastic bit underneath was killing me and they gave instant relief. Thankfully I've been able to stick with them... I feel well supported and they are completely comfy which is just as well since I wear them 24/7. Elastic holding up well. They are slightly discoloured due to lansinoh but I really don't care much about that.

As for tops. I thought I'd need them, but have found regular shirts fine.

I wore a sports bra until my milk came in on day 4. I was walking about holding myself and sobbing and despatched my mum with my debit card to bravissimo. I'd gone up 2 cups whilst pregnant and went up another 2 sizes with milk.
