Tell me about your favourite breastfeeding bra

and breast feeding vest.

I've made some bloody terrible purchases so far so doing some MN market research before I waste any more money.

So far I've bought Mamas & Papas breast feeding vest tops and they are crap quality. It was a 3 for 2 offer and I still feel like I was completely robbed. I've also got the Anita bras. I had them last time and they were fine. This time round though they are agony and the underwire feels like a lump of concrete under my armpit. I have chaffing and given up wearing them.

So, your best bra please! Comfort is the most important thing but it wouldn't hurt if the bra actually looked like it belonged to someone who might actually have sex one day. My bras look like I went back in time and bought it in the 1940s and was approved by nuns.

I have a lovely breast feeding vest by Emma Jane - but it was pricey at £21 so anything supportive and cheaper?

Thank you!

Bravado! Not sexy but sporty and fresh.
Soooo ridiculously comfortable, they come with special clips so you can turn them into normal bras when done feeding!
I have the leopard print one Blush

I've just got 2 new breastfeeding bras in the Next sale. I feel like a new woman! They are slightly padded, so no winter nips on show, and they look a lot nicer than my old ones.

I'm off to google.

Think I may have a Google myself, I had a bit of an underwear addiction pre pregnancy and there ain't a hope in hell my boobs are going to fit back in those nice fancy bras for a while!

My faves are the amoralia nougatine - comfy and reasonably pretty. Think they may have been discontinued but you could prob track them down somewhere. I'm sure you've thought the vest thing through but I have found normal long-line vests (mine are from topshop and gap) easier than special BF ones as I don't get confused with multiple sets of clips!

Anita Underwired here too. Expensive but worth it imo, when you're breastfeeding the last thing you need is the useless granny bras that are all you seem to be able to get hold of on the highstreet. Gives you back a decent shape and extremely comfy. Wash well too, I've been wearing the same 3 for 9 months now.

Freya do really nice ones. Sadly I cannot wear any of the ones I wore when feeding DS1 as the boob fairies seem to have granted me at least an extra cup size this time round and I'm still in stretchy sleep bra crop top things. :( Will keep an eye out for the Anita as well when I go and get measured.

My 'hot milk' one. God-awful name but very pretty & comfy. They had about 20 sets of hooks & eyes, which helps.

Hot Milk. Really supportive (most of them) and look lovely too Smile

Bravado seamless silk a thousand times over.

So comfy I wore it throughout pregnancy, wash well, last years, great support, sporty look and gorgeous colors. Did I say how comfy they are?

That one you linked to nickel is the one I meant, Bravado Seamless. I think it makes my boobs look quite shapely and certainly minimizes their size.

I love my elomi bf bras. My boobs look amazing in them, a feat I didn't think possible after months of non supportive m and s ones.

Thank you for all of these. I'm tempted to get two now Grin - very much liking pink Bravado. I've been swinging around in vest tops because I'm bigger than last time and been waiting for boobs / weight to settle down before I buy anything else new.

I love my panache nursing bras. Design is Sophie from bravissimo. Not cheap but insanely comfy and actually a wee bit sexy?! Well I have the pink one and the black lacy one. My boobs are mahoosive since pregnancy and so far not settling down (dd almost 5mo) but they feel normal in these bras.

Although mostly I just use normal vests and a baggy top pull up and down I also have a tie top from maman jojo bebe my sister bought me which has openings for feeding and is actually really flattering and easy to use. Again not cheap but I've worn it every week since she was born do def got wear out of it!!

Bravado seamless silk every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Been wearing them 24/7 for 18 weeks now and holding up very nicely. Even started wearing them in daytime pre-delivery as the elastic underneath was causing extreme pain and they were absolute pure bliss. Ahhh... yeah!

I found any bra which had any sort of sex appeal or shape really uncomfortable, the only one that was comfy is quite unattractive but such a relief to find comfort...mothercare full support nursing bra, comes in the boxes rather than on hangers in the store.

Marks and Spencers!!
10 months of use in and they're still so comfortable. Support and rest so well on your body. Very soft.

Hot Milk are sexy and pretty but I found them too "big" in that they take up so much skin! Hard to describe what I mean....think elderly lady bra that covers loads of back and chest etc!

A second vote for the Elle macpherson bra which someone linked to above!

I also had the bravado seamless silk which was fantastic at the start, but is too big for me now they have deflated a bit.

I couldn't get on with the bravado, not supportive enough (32F here! wail)
It was good for the first couple of weeks when you are mostly in bed, but i didn't like wearing it out

My favourite is definitely the Anita

M&S I didn't like, but they put me in the wrong size (36E Hmm) so that didn't help

I have a Bravissimo one which I like and fits well - v pretty - have the matching undies too - boyfriend is a fan Grin
However it's not underwired so the Anita wins!
