Hi, I wonder if someone could help me please? I have exclusively breast fed for the first 6 months of my babys life and this last week we have started giving a bottle of formula each day at about 11am in preparation for when my baby goes to nursery in march (mornings only).
I have also been giving a small bottle at bedtime and then following on with a breast feed to sleep.
im worried my supply will disappear and I am not really sure what to do.
currently our routine is:
7.30 wake up and small breast feed
11am bottle feed
2pm breast feed
4pm ish I do another breast feed if she seems hungry
6.30pm bottle feed (about 5 ounces) and then breast feed to help go to sleep if she hasn't dozed off on the bottle.
Usually there is 1 breast feed at about 4ish in the morning also.

ideally I would like to be able to breast feed in the evening and through night if needed but bottle through the day as im going back to work. Is this possible do you think?

Please help as im totally confused! Thanks x

Personally I wouldn't give a bottle of formula now. I'd wait until 4 weeks before you are returning to work, if that's what you want to do.

By 9 months old, your dd will be eating more solids and may actually cope without formula/breast during the day.

Perhaps give LLL a call to devise a plan.

At 9 months, my dd would go without and do a mammoth feed on my return to her.
