People keep mentioning feeding cooled boiled water to their LOs. My LO is 12 weeks, should I be giving CBW and if so under what circumstances would you give it??

I think unless you are in a v hot country or a real heat wave it's not advised anymore. I'm in the south of France and was told even in August it was only necessary if we were going on a long car journey and even then only 10ml.

It's prob your mum/mil/old fashioned Hv telling you this? Wink

Never, unless the baby is dehydrated

What Pebble said. Never, except in absolutely boiling weather when baby may not be able to get enough fluids from bottles.

We didn't give water until 6 months this time, ds3 is 20 months. By which time you don't have to boil it. I think they sometimes advise you to earlier if the baby is ill and not taking feeds.

I was advised by GP to give water during the summer and when ds was on infant gaviscon as it made him quite constipated. But that's all.
