nursing bra or normal bra?

I read on here a while ago about some people saying they didn't use nursing bras while bfing but I can't remember what type they used instead, if you dont use a nursing bra what do you do? I need some new bras and am finding nursing ones frumpy and the hot milk type brands I've found uncomfortable.

Thanks

Couldn't do without a nursing bra here. Dd doesnt care if its frumpy so long as its quick to unclip :)

I often just pull the cup down. But I'm not that big and only really buy cheap (but fitted) bras so don't worry about damaging them

Bravado Seamless Silk are amazingly comfortable and stretchy so grow and shrink with you. I loved the look of the Hot Milk ones, but they were really uncomfortable for me.

The Bravado bras are very plain, but not too frumpy. They are perfectly smooth so work under any outfit.

You can get away with ones where the cups are made of stretch lace type material so long as wires properly fitted. You'll probably go up and down by a cupsize (or two) during the course of the day so moulded ones don't really work.

Only works if you plan to feed topless though otherwise you quickly ruin your bra by hoiking your boob out over the top. Maybe a front fastening bra could work though?

Elle Macpherson does some very pretty nursing bras but sadly not big enough for my enormous bosoms this time around. Worth checking out if you're less than a D normally though.

I'm 8 months into ebf now and wear normal bras most of the time now. Still wear a nursing bra if out and about with dd as easier to feed but if i'm at home or milling about just wear a normal underwired well fitting bra and just pull cup up or down or undo bra.

Thanks everyone. Will check out bravado and Elle McPherson.

Never owned a nursing bra but I don't have large breasts even when BFing so I haven't needed more than an unwired bra or bra top. I just slip the strap off my shoulder and pull boob out of it.

Breast pads move about inside a bra top though, you have to fish around for them, even the sticky backed ones!
