I want to start a blog

I have decided I want to start a blog . At the moment I'm posting on facebook a lot and I want to replace this with a blog. I don't mind how many followers I have it is mainly for my benefit. But I'd like it to be easy to update, particularly with my phone. And I'll be uploading pictures regularly.

Can anyone recommend which blog site I should use? Any opinions would be appreciated! Thanks.

Use wordpress, it's so easy to use and free as well unless you want to upgrade which you can do later.

I've been writing my blog for about 2/3 months and I've had no problems at all.

Just what we're up to. What the bairns are up to. Where we go and things we make :)

I'm not sure anyone beyond me will be very interested in reading it. But, for me, it is supposed to be more like an online diary than a money/popularity making endeavour.

I tried blogger.com and wasn't very impressed because it is linked to a Google account. I'm going to try WordPress when I have time and see what I think. A friend also recommended tumblr.

Okay. I've gone with WordPress. The app seems easy to use. Signing up was quick. I don't have to link to facebook etc if I don't want to. My first post is up with a picture. All seems good so far!

Have you gone with Mumsnet bloggers? Would ask to link to your blog but if your not with Mumsnet then they would not be happy.

Hiya. No, I haven't. I've only got one post so far!

I shall see how things go. With two wee ones I might find I've got no time to devote to blogging. If I am managing to post fairly regularly then I'll look at joining.

(I also don't have a great deal of confidence that anyone other than me will be interested in reading my blog!)

I have got the blog bug and really want to get writing about my experience (and conversion) as a 30something city chick into new mummy on Mat Leave. Really inspired by how many creative types on here and have my fingers crossed that my blog gets accepted onto the network. Will keep you posted.
