How would you define motherhood?

Prompted by having the triple whammy of a 19 year old who's just dropped out of Uni, twin B getting eczema, and twin A now being so severely car sick we are literally housebound, have just written a blog post on To Be A Mum.

Yes, this is shameless traffic driving Wink

I just think it's quite interesting that, being both noun and verb, mother is what we are, and what we do. And that's a life time of cuddles/food/mopping up pooh (whether of the literal or figurative variety). Whereas the verb 'to father' simply means to impregnate.

Oo contraversial...

How would YOU define motherhood? What it really means to be always out of reach of a Coke, but never more than a grab away from a wet wipe?
