Interesting piece. I have BPD myself, and trying to locate the positives can help. Sometimes. BPD sufferers work brilliantly in positions of care because they are overly sympathetic, for example.

Your phrase 'state of mind' does grate me slightly however, as that indicates having control over it, and it really isn't that simple.
