Hi everyone, so I went self hosted yesterday and I'm loving it EXCEPT for the fact that I've lost all my followers so if you were following and would like to continue I'd really really appreciate it if you could log back in again. I promise this isn't a big begging request just a little begging message.

Thanks Pressies by Pebbles

I've just been on the fabulous wordpress forum and the most amazing man has helped me get all my followers back

Wordpress forum

Apparently this wasn't possible in the past so hope that this helps some others

I'm with Blogger, so am as wary as you were pebbles. I haven't taken the leap yet - scary isn't it?!

It was really scary. It's worth asking on the blogger forums as it's amazing how helpful they all are

I was looking on the Blogger forums for an answer to something else and it seems pretty hit and miss. I think Wordpress must be better for that kind of thing.
What worries me is that I can set up the site and all the rest of it, as I have my other site already. But I don't want to do all that, paying for the site, and find it's less easy for people to find than it was before.
Have you used a site that's specifically geared towards being a blog or is it one you can use as any type of site? (I have a feeling you said there was still some link to wordpress?)

Hello pebbles! was it easy to transfer your posts from the old to the new domain?

I am with blogger, and have now got a domain, but really struggling to import my old posts from blogger to wordpress (pluggin is bugged, gives message "invalid token", forum on wordpress supposed to resolve the issue completely incomprehensible to me)...ARGH! I am thinking of reposting all, although I will lose the dates and the (4!) comments i have...

I've used Jan at [email protected] - she's absolutely wonderful. Only cost £25 and worth every penny xx
