Thank you ML for posting for me. I will now give you all the details.......
At 40+10 I went into hospital to be induced. I was given the gel at 9.30pm and left to it. Could not sleep due to a snorer on the ward. It got to 1.00am and I started getting pains. Got up and told the mw who said 'it isnt labour, it is just the gel working' I went to the loo where I passed a really big blood clot. Ran out of the loo to the mw who looked at the clot then stuck me on a monitor. She asked how far apart my contractions were and I said about 4mins. After 10mins on the monitor it was clear that they were closer together then I thought. A very goodlooking male mw gave me an internal and told me I was 5cm dilated so I was sent to the labour ward where I went straight onto the gas and air. Sent dp home as I knew he felt really uncomfortable seeing me in pain. Was given pethidine at 5.35am and started pushing at 6.15am. I gave birth to Samuel Paul at 6.42am. He weighed 9lb 11oz and had to be rescusitated (sp) and the pead was 'breathing' for him with a pump thingy for 7mins (If I was listening properly) it was really scary not hearing him cry and I got quite worked up but then they told me he was ok.
Everyone on the ward was suprised that I had him so fast and so was I as dd's labour lasted 31hours. I managed to get away with not having any stitches.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
