Cheers Sazzles, BE did mutter about posting in various places but it was a long time ago.
DS arrived with the sternest gurning expression I've ever seen on a child and I thought DD had the ticket on "I'm going to kill you while you sleep" looks. He's not afraid to announce his displeasure at his minions lack of responsiviness to his needs either.
LOL at 'gurning'. When i was in hospital one dad wanted to know why all the other babies in the ward were very cute (they were all girls BTW) and his DS looked like Winston Churchill with a bad hangover!
Congrats BE & DH. Was it planned or emerg cs? He's no titch is he, so guessing emerg. <realises surgeons prob don't plan c-secs at 2:25am> Pic makes me all broody - good job I'll have one of my own in a few weeks!
BE was transferred to hospital at (I think) around 8pm last night. The baby wasn't engaged and wasn't looking likely to engage. No amount of pushing would have got him out so unfortunately a CS was decided upon. BE was awake - they had time to top up her epidural so no GA.
No name yet
DH (that's Dear Husband not my DH) is hopefully fast asleep now after a long 24 hours.
BE is keen to get out of hospital asap and I'm sure she'll be posting as soon as she's home
He is utterly gorgeous isn't he? I was broody anyway but now...
They make gorgeous babies - their dd is a looker too
I like Thomas. And Alexander. Edward is lovely, as is Luke. I remember Henry being in the running when BE was up the duff with your dd and loving it then. Anthony is adorable.
[helful]
(the name of my fictional ds isn't on the list thank god or we would have to fall out)
I love Thomas - would have gone for that for my fictional third ds, but a close friend has that for her ds2 (and her ds1 shares the name of my ds2!), so it's out of bounds for me (well that and the fact dh has had the snip )
Had no sleep for two nights due to the completely weird mothers on the maternity ward, including one who let her little darling scream for hours every night
I'm in a fair bit of pain/discomfort but managing to move around enough to get an early discharge from the hospital. Where I must say the staff were extremely lovely and supportive.
Know how you feel babieseverywhere about 'nonbirth'. I have had 4 cs and have come to the conclusion that there is no medals at the end of it.The main thing is that your little bundle of joy is safe and secure in your arms. Love the name btw.
BE, know how you feel as dd1 was emergency c-section and I felt for a long time that I hadn't 'given birth' to her. I would say let yourself grieve for not having the birth you wanted but remember that, in the end, it doesn't matter how your beautiful Edward Luke got here, just that he is here safe and sound.
Congratulations on the baby, great name, exactly the same as my ds who is now a gorgeous strapping 17 month old. He is Ed or Eddie most of the time though, normally only called Edward when he has done a big poo!
