30 Day Squat Challenge - anyone up for it?!

Anyone fancy trying the 30 day Squat Challenge with me (Google it!) My bottom could certainly do with some toning, and having heard about this I thought I might give it a go....
So here's the deal -

Day 1-50 squats
Day 2-55 squats
Day 3-60 squats
Day 4-Rest
Day 5-70 squats
Day 6-75 squats
Day 7-80 squats
Day 8-Rest
Day 9-100 squats
Day 10-105 squats
Day 11-110 squats
Day 12-Rest
Day 13-130 squats
Day 14-135 squats
Day 15- 140 squats
Day 16-Rest
Day 17-150 squats
Day 18- 155 squats
Day 19- 160 squats
Day 20-Rest
Day 21- 180 squats
Day 22- 185 squats
Day 23- 190 squats
Day 24-Rest
Day 25- 220 squats
Day 26- 225 squats
Day 27- 230 squats
Day 28-Rest
Day 29- 240 squats
Day 30- 250 squats

Purples, I think your right. I will stick to 50 a day for the first set, then increase to maybe 70 for the second and just stick to a gentle increase. I can run and swim after the first week of April but we have a beach holiday booked end of April so I want to look a little better in my shorts and bikini!! Not much I can do about the tummy and scars so will make the best of the rest!!

I am having to check the correct way of doing them, I think this mornings may have been wrong!

day 2 done - feeling it more in my thighs than bum though am I doing it wrong?

Attack- im feeling it in my thighs more than my bum, i watched a YouTube clip to see if i was doin them right, my thighs r hurtin so i guess i am.

Just did the sqats and managed 30 crunches tonight hopefully 50 tomorrow!!

Day 3 done! Did all the squats and crunches, ouch my thighs, but rest day tomorrow which I'm looking forwards to.

Keep up the good work everyone....

I've not been able to do the squats as I've found I have very short hamstrings and I can't squat, at all. blush I need to speak to a physio..

Sorry to hear about your hamstring problem wewereherefirst, what about trying to carry on with crunches?

Done mine for today and really feeling the effect of those crunches and to a lesser extent in my thighs.
Good thing is I'm getting better at the squats, as muscles are getting used to it, I'm able to go lower.
It may just be psychological, but I can feel that the bum/thigh muscles are already better...

So tomorrow is a rest day, and then on Saturday it goes up to 70. (OMG 70!)

Didnt do any yesterday for various reasons however I did do loads of brisk walking. Was agony using my thighs yesterday - going downstairs, getting in the bath etc! So have just done 60 for today, and instead of resting tomorrow I'll do them to make up for yesterday off. Havent done any crunches yet tho... will prob do them this afternoon or evening.

Done! Ouch. My thighs, bum and tummy are sore!!

Day three done.....managed 53 crunches tonight was so funny as DS whos 3 was doin them beside me lol!

Purples - i can feel my thigh an bum muscles gettin better already glad im not the only one!

Day 3 yesterday... I found myself in the bathroom doing them

Made myself go far enough down by hovering over bath edge for each squat... Making sure my thighs brushed it on each squat down... I'm tall so was perfect height

Not aching much as had completed 30 min run before I did them

MazzR, did you decide to join in? ...This is a great thread that catanddog started.

Morning! Im not resting today to make up for not doing them on weds. Ive just done 65 squats, 65 'bicycle' crunches (find these the best ones for me, can feel it in my stomach already!) havent been using weights though, nor have I done any press ups.

Rest day grin

I can really feel it in my thighs this morning!

Ya I did my 50 squats yesterday. Will start the crunches today too. Great thread alright. One question, do we have to hold the squats for a few seconds or just up and down,up and down lol?

I'm trying to holding the bum/thigh squeeze for a count of 2.
smile just off to do my 70 now....Hopefully I'll still be smiling afterwards...
