Bereavement

bittersweet day

Wasn't sure where to post this and whether or not to post at all but my heart is set to burst. Sorry if that sounds really mushy but DH died 3 years ago today and now I have his DD who will be 7 weeks old on Sunday.

She has had the best nights sleep I think she's ever had and therefore, so have I. And she's been smiling and making contented noises this morning. I would say all morning but that would be a slight exaggeration.

Anyway, I just want to squeeze her so tight and would eat her if I could. More than a big part of me thinks that DH is looking down on us today, if not everyday. Such a shame he's not here to share DD with me, she's so beautiful, just like he was

Aw Delgirl -

Sorry I don't know the details.... but I'm confused.... how can your dd only be 7wks old if your DH died 3 years ago?

...sorry if a bit dim, I just don't understand.

How lovely to have someone so beautiful given to you by someone you have lost. I am sorry or your loss but so happy that you have his beautiful daughter.
He will be looking down on you every day and his heart will be filled with love and pride for both of you.
Enjoy every minute of your life with your daughter and live it to the full.

Ah Delgirl. No little girl could ever be loved or wanted more. When she grows up and you tell her what happened she will be so sure of your love.

Delgirl showed me a pic of her dh and I thought he had the most fantastic, smiling face. You could see he was someone really special.

Lots of love Delgirl xxx

Delgirl, I didn't know all of this, I think your daughter is absolutely beautiful and I can't echo more the thoughts and wishes of all the other Mums here.

My thoughts are with you DelGirl. Your DH must feel so proud of you and DD as he watches over you both. You are a remarkable woman, and in future years as your DD grows up you will be able to share this bittersweet anniversary with her, which I hope, will in some ways ease the pain

Kittypickle has told me how gorgeous she is and I look forward to seeing you again and meeting her soon
