Alcoholic brother found dead

What more can I say, he spent the last 20years of his life in pain and anguish.

He was a very angry alcoholic, he had everything, he lost everything, he hated everyone.

But he was my brother and I loved him. Or I loved what he used to be.

He is now at peace.

I am so sorry.

My ex boyfriend was an alcoholic and died a few months ago aged 34. I understand about loving what they were.

I hope your brother has found peace, and that you can do the same in knowing he is now safe and not hurting anymore.

My thoughts are with you x

I have just come across this post and I'm desperately sorry for your loss. My brother has been an alcoholic for 20 years and right now I feel he's literally drinking himself to death. He's trying to taper off at home with my parents help but who knows. Alcoholic is a progressive disease and also a family one. It is a living hell. Your brother is at peace now and I'm so sorry that he couldn't beat it. I fear the same for mine.
