My Aunt has died. It was expected as in weeks but lasted less than a day. I was not yet ready to lose the woman who was like a second mother to me but she has gone.
I am beyond devastated. I have bought a card for my uncle but don't know what to say. I don't know how to start it, l don't know how to tell him how much she will be missed and how much l owe to her.
The funeral is next week and it looks than likely for reasons way beyond my control l wont be able to attend. I am being guilt tripped by my DM for not attending but believe me there is NO WAY l can go l have tried but it just can't be done. Tonight l am having palpitations through my grief and stress, l am not coping.
Could anyone help me put into word what l am feeling to my lovely Uncle?

I think any heartfelt sentiment would be of great comfort to your uncle. Dad died recently and the most comforting cards were the ones which said how the person felt about dad's character or how they felt about him. Just touched my heart to know that other people knew him and loved him too.

I'm really sorry about your aunt, I hope you don't struggle to much tonight xx
