Bereavement

...today, my lovely dad died.

I miss him.

Dh hasn't remembered the date and the Dcs don't know. I'm in a foul mood with them all but really don't want to play the sympathy card and make Dh feel crap for not remembering. Wish they would all go away so I can sit and have a good cry by myself.

That's all.

Thanks I'm so sorry about your dad. Be easy on yourself today. See if you can find time out to have that cry. Thanks

I understand exactly how you feel, it's very hurtful when the people you think should remember don't. At the same time you don't want to remind them, particularly in the case of dh. But my dh one day was merrily singing away to a song we had had at my mums funeral ! I was angry and very hurt. They just don't get it sometimes do they. Can you take yourself off out for a couple of hours so you can be alone with the thoughts of your dad ? The children as you say don't know any different so they can't be blamed in any way. I do sympathise and am sorry you feel upset.
