Breast problems 3 months after m/c

Didn't know what to put this under but as I need advice from others who have had m/c seems sensible to put it here.

My breasts have always been a good barometer of what's going on with my body and always the very first symptom of pg. Since I m/c in March they have stayed full and veiny. They still go through the cycle of being painful from a week before AF until it starts but they look pg, especially my nips which are huge. This didn't happen after my first m/c last August.

This month AF started as usual and was probably as heavy as usual for 2 nights and one day and now seems to have stopped. Breasts are itchy and sore despite my now being on day 4.

What is going on? Are my hormone levels going crazy since the m/c? Has anyone else had this happen? How long till it goes back to normal?

I don't remember my side effects but had 4 mcs and IME all were difference. Dr did tell me though that your body will prob be out of sync for a good 6 months. Getting back to normal- well that can be controlled by loads of things, esp your emotional state.
Sorry if not much help. Good luck. I'm sorry for your loss, too. Wink

I'm sorry for your loss, evenhope. Yes, your hormone levels probably are still out of whack - I had very weird boobs for several months after my last miscarriage, and ended up seeing a breast surgeon (part of the weirdness was lumpiness, and a nipple that didnt' seem to harden and soften evenly - it scared me). He did all the checks, which were fine, and explained that miscarrying can do that because the body starts huge processes, which it then can't suddenly stop - it takes time. He sees lots of women after miscarriage and/or failed IVF cycles for that reason.
I think it took me about three months before they started to feel normal again - I was 8 weeks pregnant when I miscarried that time.

HTH, xxx
