Woman at M&B group baby died, what can I get her?

I don't know her that well, have seen her every week for about 9 months and her son played with dd2.

He was born with heart probs and had a feeding tube. Was told he was doing really well before Christmas but had a bad turn and died last week aged 15 months Sad.

I want to send her a card but thought of a plant she could put in the garden - good or bad idea? What if the plant died? Sad. Or a keepsake box.

Or should I just stick to a card?

I would get her a card, and maybe you could organise a plant or something from the M&B group. What a horrible thing to happen. Sad

it is horrible.

The mother & baby group I go to is that rare thing of a nice friendly group with no ignorant people or cliques and everyone is in shock about it, having seen them get their hopes raised and dashed again.

Can you imagine going back to an empty house with all the prams and toys everywhere? I don't know how on earth they will cope tbh.

How awful,I too think a card with a personal note mentioning some lovely things about her baby that you remember .
Tbh I doubt she will have the presence of mind to plant anything, maybe in a few months.

I bought a friend a crystal when her son died (recommended to me by someone else). It hangs up and look beautiful when the sun shines on it.
