Bereavement

My father is dying

I am just back from my families for Christmas dinner. My dad has COPD which was found when he went for a bypass. He has dramatically decreased in health from the moment he was operated on.

He was so so bad today. He insisted on us being there and I cried all the way home because I know its the last Christmas we will see him.

No one is handling it, its swinging from feeling like there is no hope to thinking he is on the road to recovery. How do I deal with this? How do I cope?

So sorry to hear about your dad. That's such a tough situation to be in. All you can do is be there for him and be there for your family. And spend time remembering all the good times you had together. X

Very sorry to hear this - can't really offer any help but did not want to ignore this.
My way of coping with most things is to find out as much as possible and do everything possible to make sure the other person is getting the best possible care etc.
You will get through this and it will have meant a lot to him to have you there today.
