Bereavement

My Mum died last night

My Mum died last night. She was 54 and had lung cancer which she has bravely battled against for three years.

I feel lost. I will miss her so very much. My dd (16) is brokenhearted although my ds (5) is taking it all in my stride.

Life is going to seem so very empty now.

winnie, I am so sorry, truly.

She really fought hard

I don't think you are a practising Christian, but I hope these beautiful words from Proverbs strike a chord with you. I know how much you all loved her:

Strength and dignity are her clothing,
And she smiles at the future.
She opens her mouth in wisdom,
And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
She looks well to the ways of her household,
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and bless her.

Thinking of you all

Marina, thank you. What a beautiful verse.

Thank you everyone.

I am sat here alone going slightly loopy.
I've just phoned the funeral directors and I've phoned everyone I need to tell immediately and now it's just me and the children...
Wonder how I will get through this on my own but have got through the last months of her life alone... today there seems to be no sense or reason to anything

Winnie, I am so very sorry.

If you are feeling at a loss as to what to do now, perhaps you could do something to remember her. Go to the garden centre and plant something in the garden perhaps, which you can then watch grow together? Sonething I remember my Mum doing with us when a close relative dies.

Take care

Pleasure Winnie, you may have to ask the gardning gurus on here what to plant at this time of year though
