The easiest way to deal with this (before it starts... hey ho) is to cut nails very short so there is nothing to bite (so at least once a week) and to clean out noses with cotton wool every day in/after the bath (when steam will have loosened dried snot).
Have you tried the old trick of clear nail varnish on his nails? Or isn't there some special yucky stuff you put on kids' nails to stop them biting?

Hi
Have 4 yr old boy who picks nose (and eats it - YUKKKKKK) and bites nails til they are sore.
Can't seem to reason with him about how disgusting it is. Need to start nipping it in the bud as I have seen him do it at nursery.
Would appreciate some advice!

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
