Dd refuses to go to sleep in her new forward facing car seat

Hoping for tips... Dd (12mo) always slept marvellously in her rear facing baby car seat when we had to go somewhere by car. But now that she has 'graduated' she will chatter away / yell / scream way past her normal nap time although she is clearly knackered. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Can you pull the seat back so she is lying down? Dd2 will sit up and chat and point out every tractor, tree and house if she is sitting upright, but if we change the setting so she is lying down a bit more, she zonks out.

Tx for that! Yeah, I have tried to pull it in the lying down position, but she is still sitting quite upright compared to the babyseat. Which car seat do you have - and does it go quite flat?

We have the Britax one which can go either way round, it reclines far enough that DD1 (18 months) can't fight it and sit up so gives up and goes to sleep.
