Noisy 17 week old

My ds is really noisy most of the time when awake and particularly after he has woken from afternoon nap and waiting for before bed feed. He squeals and shouts really noisily on and on for about an hour - shuffling out of his playmat and when under the toys, pulling really hard on the toys above him. Sometimes I can't work out if he's squealing with delight or whether he's upset....!! I presume this is normal - and that it could be an indication of what I have in store for me in the future....ie a hyperactive vocal child ??..Mmmmm

My 17 week old DS is exactly the same - has just started screaming these last couple of days - so much so that when I was on the phone to my mum yesterday she couldn't believe that it was DS - she was convinced I had another child in the house! They are proper shrieks and he will do it for quite a while but they are positive noises so I don't think he is unhappy - I am assuming it is normal (although maybe not if my mum who had 3 kids was surprised!)

likewise with my ds of 19 weeks, he does chuckle too. but really shrieks,,and makes lots of funny noises. i think he is just trying to communicate, mostly, and other times saying "look at me".
