Have just come home from introducing my 7 year old son to my new bloke (well "friend" at the moment). After giving him completely fantastic advanced publicity (well deserved usually) he proceeded to laugh incessantly in a maniacal fashion and talk about rude things . I KNOW he is 7 (only child) and imagine that it is completely hilarious to talk with his school pals in this way. He is normally a truly wonderful kid - least I thought so! Maybe it's a wake-up call? Just feel like I need some support, someone to say it's completely normal... My new bloke only has one girl of 9 and they got on like a house on fire. But he doesn't have experience of boys. Think he was a bit shocked... It was as though I fed him a ton of blue smarties washed down with a double espresso just before we arrived. Can see my relationship going down the pan! Ah well... HELP PLEASE!!
