My daughter has started frinding her teeth the last couple of days. She has done it in the past a little but recently she has been doing it a lot. as well as being concerned about her teeth , the noise is driving me mad! any advice?

My ds1 used to do it at night when he was chesty. It was awful to listen to and he did chip a couple of teeth. Thank goodness he has grown out of it!
In what situations does your daughter do it?

She does it without any proocation. She does it when she's active she does it when she's quiet, she does it when she's lively , she does it when she's tired. Not all the time obviously but to the point where it's bothering me and hubby. She is 15 months.

Could she be teething?

She's had 3 back teeth making an appearance in the last weeek and they've given her hell. it didn't occur to me that this might be related.

My DD does it when she is teething - it could be that.

Hi I used to be a dental nurse and my ds used to grind his teeth all the time. I asked my boss (the dentist) why this was and he told me it was stress relief. He asked if my son was worried about something. At the time i was with his abusive father and since leaving him my son has stopped grinding his teeth. He was 3 at the time and is now 7 he only ever does it now if something is worrying him. Just a thought might be a different reason for you x
