.... My just turned 1 year old will stop putting everything (bar food sometimes) into her mouth?! It's exhausting. I think she knows now that she really shouldn't just put anything in her mouth, as she will look at me and chew, but doesn't seem to actually swallow. She'll also stick her tongue out if I ask her whats in her mouth or 'give to mama'.
I'm quite a house proud person but she's showing me up to be the slovenly wench that I've seemingly become Blush
Trips to the park are an exhausting round of fetching twigs, leaves and cigarette butts from her mouth! And anything else she comes across.... Please tell me it ends soon! That and the constant fascination with opening and closing doors.

My ds is 21 months and still puts things in his mouth but he has got better in the last few weeks an not everything goes straight in now. He also likes opening cupboard doors but again it has been less frequent in the last few weeks.

My dd was about 18 months when cupboards lost their appeal though so I think it depends on the child a to when they stop shoving everything in their mouth and constantly opening doors.

4 yr old still does it. They all do it to start with. Some carry on!
