Thats about it really, we have been gradually building up to the idea for weeks and have finally taken the leap and put him in his bed. He chose his bedding and helped us make the bed, we put all his toys and favourite books in there and put his little musical star in a pocket on the bed guard. The guard seems to make it cosier and a bit more like his cot so i am glad we went for it, we've talked about it all day,he was so excited and proud of being a big boy.
I was fully expecting to spend most of the night putting him back into bed but no, i checked on him after about half an hour and he was quietly looking at his books in the dark. An hour later he was fast asleep with no indication that he had got out of bed at all. He looked so little in the big bed, but so grown up at the same time; I went all teary.
Its been too easy tonight, this is probably beginners luck isn't it?
