*Doesn't want to leave me - screams for Mummy
*Wants to be fed at meal times
*Screams 'WAIT FOR ME' if I go downstairs and I leave him upstairs
*Whines most of the bloomin day
*Has lost the ability to entertain himself 'Play with me mummy.....'

It's driving me bonkers!!! I'm pretty sure he's more than ready for school and am hoping he will settle down.

Is this common for a 4 year old to be harder work than a 2 year old?!! (or have I just forgotten how much hard work a 2 year old is? }

Yes my dd went through this.
All of a sudden wouldn't run upstairs to the loo or to her room by herself anymore. Always wanted me. With me it was her starting School and me having another baby but i'm sure they all go through it.
It must be pretty scary really knowing they are going to be 'big kids' soon.

(BTW, i always flick member profiles and caught you and him on there. He is cute and you are very feminine and pretty, with your name i always pictured you to be well 'ard )

My DD is exactly the ame as this at the moment too - but also add argumentative and awkward to the list.What has happened to my usually easy going friendly child?
I'm putting it down to starting school soon and new babe on the way too.
But how do you handle it? I've never had to use star charts or naughty steps etc on her before. I know why she's like it but should I just ignore it? It's winding me up no end and being hormonal and tired is making me overreact to it I think.
