he usually becomes really clingy when sickening for something so maybe that, he has a bit of a cold atm, but he wants to constantly be latched on and is distraught if I put him to bed/down. think he needs the dr?

Not sure dinny. Ds is 20 months (today!) and has wanted to feed a lot today. He has hardly wanted me out of his sight (which is ok, as we have just been at home all day). Are they due a phase of separation anxiety?!

was wondering, Beansprout. he's no temp and is now sitting on lp chewing on nipple

maybe is separation anxiety. so hard on my 4 yo, she hasn't even had a proper cuddle today, let alone any time with just the two of us.

separation anxiety.....it is at this sort of age that they start to realise that you and they are not the same thing......

Children without secure attachements often do not display signs of distress when the primary carer leaves them. The upshot and ironic thing is if your child is crying when you try and peel him off you then that is a good, but annoying sign. They do grow out of it!!
