What time is tea time and bed time for 9 month old?

DD is only 3 months so I'm looking into the future of when I'll need to go back to work and thinking about the hours I might work.
I'm hoping to work compressed hours so two long days where I wouldn't be back until 6.30-7pm. Ideally I'd love to be there for dinner, bath and bed but I don't want to inflict late nights on DD.

Dinner at 4:30/5 and bed at 7 for my 7mo

It seems that everyone I know puts their kids to bed at 7pm! But we've the same issue you do. We're planning (dd only 6wo so this is purely theoretical right now) on putting dd to bed at 8pm after dw baths her on her return from work - that'll be their special time.

Bed time was around 6.30 up to a year now it's 7pm. She has tea at 4.30 at nursery during the week and a snack at home afterwards. At weekends she has tea at 5.30.

That said, I know plenty of people whose dcs go to bed a lot later 8-9pm so that they get some special evening time. I'm luck in that I leave work at 4 every day so I get a couple of hours with her in the evening.

Try not to wish away your mat leave worrying about going back to work, your routine will just sort of work itself out once you go back. Takes a couple of frantic weeks at the start but then things will settle down!!

Both DH and I work. DS is back from the CM's at 5:30. Dinner at 5:45/6. Bath at 7:10/7:15. In bed by 7:30 and asleep by 8. But he doesn't need to wake up before 7/7:30 so can get a good night's sleep. My DS is 18 mo and we have had the same routine since he was 7mo and I went back to work.

Tea at 5.30, bath at 7, bottle 7.30, bed 8-8.30. It's lateish but I tend to wait for DH to get home so he can help getting the DDs to bed (and spend some time with them). She usually sleeps till about 7am.

My DD is 9 1/2 mo but its been the same really since she 6mo.
Milk at 6ish . Dinner is at 6.30 - 7 and bed around 7.30. She gets up between 6 - 7am. We don't bath every night which helps.

Our ds is almost 7 months and has supper with us around 8 (doing blw,) then bed at 8.30/9pm. If we did it any earlier he'd miss out on daddy time which they both love, and he has three decent naps in the day still so doesn't seem over tired, but I think it's different for each family and what suits you..

They have bottle and food around 4.30/5pm as that's when I feed the other dc. I put them down at 6pm with a feed (I still BF OD) but they aren't on a routine so they wake and feed whenever.

They don't always sleep 6pm just sit/lay/stand in cot but they don't cry only babble with each other.

Thanks all. It's useful to get a sense of what others do. I think likely I'll miss tea time twice a week but on the plus side I should always be there for settling to bed.

I initially fed dd when I got home from cm so she ate at 5.45 was having a bath at 6.30 then getting ready for bed. It was miserable for all of us because it was a rush. CM suggested she fed her then I could just play with her before bath time it worked so much better for us

Because of my hours DH would often have DD in best before I got home & vice versa on his work days. Now 2.8 this has had no adverse affect. Harder on me than DD initially but I had no option but to get over it. If she goes to bed much later she is a PITA the next day

We do dinner at 5.45 then bath, books and bed by 7. We're doing blw so lots of mess hence dinner then straight into the bath :)
