my dd is 12 months and screams blue murder as soon as i lay her down to dress her. i try do it super quick but she allows me about 20 seconds then screams and flips and tries to escape. i am worried that i have hurt her or something at some point as she never cries at any other time....

Can you dress her sitting on your lap instead? And try and include her verbally, lots of "oooh can you help mummy to put your arm in here?" etc.

Try dressing her standing up? I have never mastered changing / dressing on my lap but do DTs standing.

Yes dress her on your lap. Or sing. My dd is the same!
