I mean when he is pooing, not me (that would be understandable!)

I'm currently banished to the kitchen while he does his business in a nappy next door.

Normal?!

My 2.2 yo DC3 like privacy, he hides behind the toy chest or under the table.
I'm thinking he might be ready for potty training but I am chicken!

It's often a sign they are reaching a stage where they are ready to toilet train. I'd start introducing him to a potty.

A new stage of fun and games :)
