Hi All,

Today is a bad day and I could do with some MUMSNET advice.
My daughter has been going to the same nursery for over 1 month now and every day she seems to like it less and less. She has plenty of friends that we all see out of nursery and she talks about nursery when she isnt there in such a good light...

however....

Every morning as we approach she retreats into herself and asks to be carried (she is 3)...as we climb the stairs she starts to hide and then when we enter the room she hides in my shoulders and clings on for dear life.

It is a twenty process which often includes tears tantrums and lots of "mummy dont go".

I hate feeling like I am dumping her, and I hate seeing her so sad....but I have to stay strong and keep saying - "mummy will be back, I have to go to work" etc...but its heart breaking.
I watch plenty of others kids, turn up, be happy and head in - unlike my DD who is peeled off me screaming!

Does anyone have any advice how we can break this pattern to a happier one!

Please, I cant turn up at work crying again! x

dd was made worse by being 'pushed'; cured by me staying in the school with her, mobile phone she could use to call me, etc. Might help?
