WHAT AGE WILL HE WALK!!!

MY son is 19 months old he was a late crawler but before he crawled be would stand on his feet all the time. Now he won't even try! He just crys when I put him on his feet.
I am worried he will never walk! and he is the oldest in his nursery class, they normally move over at 18 months...
Any ideas on how I can help him? I don't want to push him but don't want him to be left behind!! Sad

have you been to see your GP at all? they'll be able to refer him to someone who can check that there is nothing wrong with him physically.
a friend of mine has a little boy of 2 who is only just starting to walk and they've said it's because he has quite weak ankles.

He might just surprise you and do it in his own time, but there's no harm in getting it checked out

I did think of doing this but you don't want to confirm anythings wrong!! He is quite heavy for his age so this could have something to do with his ankles... I think I may take him for peace of mind!! Smile

well yes...if they say nothing is wrong you can relax about it and know he'll do it when he's ready.

if there is something wrong then he'll be able to get help sooner rather than later!

it's a win win situation Grin

My uncle was nearly 3 when he took his first steps. For no other reason than preferred sliding around on his bum.

It will happen!
