what foods make your child hyperactive ? list please !

am really trying to control my ds's(3.5) diet but apart from the obvious things like chocolate, sugar,e no.s etc what other foods have you found that make your ds/dd hyperactive ? would be interested to know
TIA
other fooods i have found to do this are
undiluted fruit juice
oranges
tomatoes (?)
onken strawberry yoghurt

Don't let him near aspartame, I don't know whether it makes mine hyper or not because he's never had it, horrible stuff.

The fructose levels are very high in certain types of fruit, I don't know which ones though (fructose being fruit sugars) you might have a sort of try it see thing to do with that!

Fruit shoot drinks have an astonishingly marked effect on one of my sons. Haven't noticed that anything else does.

Colourings, flavourings, sweeteners, flavouring enhancers, salicylates (which is what you might be finding in the fruit things), preservatives. Calpol is terrible. Actually with DS1 it's easier to ask what doesn't make him hyperactive.

If you haven't seen this very informative site I recommend you browse it - particularly if you are seeing hyper reactions to those foods.

Happy to give more info if it strikes a chord.

scummymum agree fruit shoots are bad
and artificial sweetners are worse than sugar

what can desserts be apart from fruit and yoghurt on a relatively sugar free diet .we have homemade rice pudding with honey and am
goin to get an ice cream too.so i can make frozen yog and fruit desserts

any other ideas for tasty healthy desserts ? getting bored of fruit and yogurt !

thanks singersgirl got some good info there hopefully i got those hidden ingredients that are causing problems that i havent been aware of .cat me if you want to i would like to talk too you cause i dont know anyone else whose child is as bad as mine for goin crazy on food .im not online at home at the moment so i might take a week or two to reply if you do
