I think this may just be me being a first time mum and worrying ott but still i have to ask..

My dd is 18 months old, for the past approx 4 months she has had what seems to be possible pain(???) in her right foot/ankle.

The only way i cant describe this is as when people 'click' their fingers awww i hate that noise. I hope you know what i mean i dont know how to explain it!

I have been told that it can cause arthritis. Anyway, dd turns and turns her right foot for ages and i cant stop her, and her joints 'click' really loud, sometimes shes moans with it, sometimes not.

I guess i want to know if this is worth checking out with the doctor or if i am being ott and if anyone has had problems similar??

Bet you all think im crazy lol!!

Any advise would be great ty.

I would have it checked out, just to be on the safe side.

Definitely have it checked out - better to be safe than sorry. It might be nothing but at least you've put your mind at rest.

i would definitely take her to the GP just to get it checked out...

but on a good note, I was reading about this in focus magazine the other day and studies have shown that "clicking" joints does NOT cause arthritis!

My ankles pop loudly, something to do with a pressure change it's supposed to be very common. Doesn't hurt me at all. Esp. after I've just got out of bed & have to walk downstairs.

However, won't hurt to ask your GP.

What about asking you health visitor? DD1's ankles leaned inwards, I hadn't really noticed, but the shoe fitter that was doing dd's 1st shoes picked it up. I mentioned it to my HV and she said to take dd1 to physio clinic which was held at my gp's surgery.
