What age do they play alone in their rooms?

DD will play up there quite happily when she is meant to be going to sleep (I don't mind, always been of the opinion that if she is up there and quiet after bedtime, then I don't mind 30 mins or so of playing).... BUT if I were to try putting her up there midday so I can hoover etc downstairs, she'd scream the place down.

When do they get happy about it??

(She's 2 1/2)

I think my DD1 was 3 and a half - however that may have been prompted by her newly mobile sister.

Mine is 2.5 and has been happy up there alone since forever. I haven't beein happy, but everyone needs a private poo sometimes. He is alone 5 minutes max though, and I'm only next door in the bathroom. He has a stairgate as well. He is often reluctant to come downstairs.

Ds was 3 1/2 and would play happily or make a mess for about 20-30 mins he is now 6 1/2 and can entertain himself in his room for a good hour. Dd is 2 1/2 and will play happily in her room for about 15mins if I am upstairs in another room tidying making beds etc

DD is 3.5yo and often plays in her room alone or with friends. When in the apartment her room was only next door to the living room and most of her stuff was in there so she has retty much always played in her room.

My one is 3 and she will quite happily play up there sometimes and others not - Dependant on the child I think!

My dd is 3 and has enjoyed playning in her room alone for about a year she can quite happily play there for a good hour-hour 1/2 but I only let her be alone for about 20 - 30 mins then I go up for 15 then leave her if you see what I mean
She knows she only has to shout me and I'll go up.

Definitely depends on the child -DD1 is 6 and still doesn't really want to play on her own. DD2 has done from about 21/2, and by31/2 She would play in her own world for hours if i let her.
