I'm 21 weeks and just found out we're expecting a little girl.

DP and I are useless and can't even come up with names to disagree with, let alone one we both like.

We're looking for something pretty and meaningful that's not overly common. My DP's sister has another girl at her school with the exact same name (definitely don't want that).

Surname is going to be Williams.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I love Laura. Not many newborns with that name at the mo I'd imagine and it's a very pretty name.

To avoid the same name thing you probably need to go back to the top names of 25 years ago or so. Definitely avoid all 'old lady' names such as Emmeline, Constance and Florence (sorry recireci) as there will be relatively lots of them.

I really like the name Navarre, randomly, although I am completely anti- "stupid" names.

Have you seen this? www.statistics.gov.uk/StatBase/Product.asp?vlnk=15282
It's every girl's name from 2008.
