It also has an English meaning -- supple, capable of moving or bending, etc. I don't think you can use a fairly common English word as a child's name even if it comes up in another language with another meaning.

I agree the meaning is lovely but the fact Limber is an English word is off-putting to me.

Not at all keen. I think of 'limber up'. And, were she to grow up to be slightly less svelte than average, some unkind souls might dub her "Lumber" instead. I would avoid it, personally.
