I've seen an unusual girls name, can't get it out of my head, what do you think?

First a disclaimer in that I don't know if this name is spelt correctly, if it's foreign, if it's made up or anything. But I think I like it! What do you think of it? It's Remynie.

I know (well, know of) a Remony, she's lovely.

I guess you pronounce it like remedy? Only seen it written down. Can't stop thinking about it.

Remony is prettier than Remynie which looks a bit made up tbh.

Remony is an estate in Perthshire

Oh, Remony is quite nice.

I think I like Romy or Elodie better though

Yeah I wasn't sure about the spelling, Remony sounds nice too, don't know if dp would go for it. And my traditional welsh mil would no doubt hate it!

DD is called Remony. It is of scottish origin (Estate in Perthshire). Obviously I love it!

Her friends call her Rem, we call her Rems.

Rimini is in Italy?

I can see how Remony would be pronounced. Still not clear how Remynie would sound though -- same pronunciation, or different?

Remony I can make my peace with.

Remynie - not so much.

I think it's a truly gorgeous name and I might nick it for my next, if it's a girl!

Yay for snot! (didn't think I'd be typing that tonight...) as a positive vote for the unusually spelt Remynie!

Anyone else like it?

i like romilly/ romily? and romy and remy.

i've never heard of remony tbh... it sounds as though it might be a contraction of something else - i can't imagine what though!

it doesn't seem to be grabbing me either way at the mo...

I can't speak for ggirl but on my part no offence intended BarryKent, sorry.
(it's just hard to describe the pronunciation of words when we can't hear eachother, and it's well known that native speakers of japanese change the L for an R when speaking english, hardly racist really, but sorry if it offended anyone)

I think Remony is quite pretty, and have always liked the nn Remy due to my teenage obsession with the movie The Big Easy.

The East of here is so beautiful. Perthshire is so beautiful.

Too bad about the people.

The only Remy I know is a French boy, born in France to a French father and a Scottish mother, now living through here. It's gorgeous on him. He speaks French to his father.

On a non-French boy, well, it's like Lachlan on a non-Scottish boy - wannabe, tries too hard, pretender.

Sorry, that's harsh but that's how some folks would think round here, but never tell you unless you were somehow considered a local.
