I love, love, love Rae but have to confess I am not sure about lilly-rae .. sounds a bit too much like Billy Ray to me

Quite difficult to say, so doesn't really flow IMO.

is it 'lilly' or is it 'lily' speculating that the former is a diminutive of 'lilian' (i think) and the latter is the flower.

its nice though, the name combo, i like it

I have an Aunt Rae, so it's def. for girls as well, but i don't like the name.

Love Lily, I know a little Lily-Rose who is french, sounds lovely when her mum calls her

My 2nd DD is called Sienna Rae but Rae is her 2nd name, personally I don't like double barreled 1st names. I agree with 'showofhands' !
I would have called her Rae but exDH wasn't keen.

Anything-Rae is just pure Texas to me, and not in a good way. Yes, Showofhands, there are trailers involved.

You can't move for names ending in 'ae' on this forum!

I agree that Lily is better spelt with one 'L'.

Lily is nice.
