Hello

I have a 4 year old DD Sienna. I am now pregnant with my second and want to name him Judah if it is a boy?

This will no doubt be shrtened to Jude. Sienna Miller and Jude Law were a very famous celeb couple. Are people going to think my children are named after them?

Thanks in advance xx

I don't think that's a good idea.

What about:

Jonah
Ludo

I actually think that letting celeb relationships, which tend to be flimsy and transient, rule your choice of names is daft if you love a name. If you go back x years it would have been Jude and Sadie, but now nobody would bat an eyelid if you had two children with those names. Equally Brad and Jen, Tom and Nicole... And given their rocky history, I suspect nobody will even remember "Jude and Sienna" by the time Sienna and Judah reach school!

I agree with Fanfare, tbh. OTOH if you'd picked Victoria and Albert, that would be odd...

Here here - go for it, I bet not many people will even notice; I certainly wouldn't have.

When I was pregnant wth my 1st DD we had Scarlett, Sienna & various other 'colour' names on our list. Boy was going to be Jude (Scarlett is now 7 so before Sienna & Jude) when I became pregnant with my 2nd DD I really wanted Lola exDH hated it and last minute we settled on Sienna ... Jude was still the boys name we loved. I was convinced we would have a boy. Sienna was born .... if I had another baby and it was a boy I would still pick Jude, I have no interest in the celeb couple & don't care what other people may think, so I agree with fanfare !!!! Go for what you really want ! X

Judah is a lovely name. I'd go for it.

Go with the name you love. Celerit couplings are just flashin the pans and it won't be their generation of celebs anyway! Go for it!

Only people who buy Hello magazines et al will find it strange.

I personally wouldn't use Jude/Judas etc because of negative connotations but certainly not because some flash in the pan actor (is that what he does?) has a wife/girlfriend with the name of my daughter.

i dont like the name Judas its Judah I like...as far as im aware there are no negative connotations are there? (not being rude just want to know if there are )
I think Judah was a son of Jacob in the Bible and was the son who saved Joseph from dying in the pit. Argh i could be wrong let me know

thanks

I don't think Judah has any negative connotations. I like it - it's unusual but not wacky, and Jude is great too.
