I love Darcey, I don't know of any in our area, I don't think it's chavish but then I don't understand all this preoccupation with chav, you either like a name or you don't, why worry about others connotations of it?

My son's name could be considered quite 'chav' - rhymes with Tyler and is an anglicised spelling which I guess is sorta chavvy and ill-educated. I don't really care (and I like Tyler too )

Has become very popular in a matter of a couple of years (if that), so will date really, really quickly imo, along with Isla.
Can see it getting much more popular and then being dropped like a hot coal when more people decide it may be 'chavvy' or 'common' or whatever.

I really love the name Darcey but with just 3 weeks to go I'm having second thoughts and and am thinking of calling the baby Harriet. I think Darcey is getting very popular now and could become a bit dated. Also, when I went shopping yesterday a rather rough sounding gentleman shouted to his daughter "oi darcey get your a*se here nah!"
