Ok having a change from my initial Theo or Gabriel, does anyone like Corey for a boy? Or does it sound funny??

Your thoughts much appreciated!! Still thinking of Michael for a middle name or open to any suggestions, thanks Dawn

Is it a real name? It just reminds me of apple cores.

Its spelt CORY, no E.

Sounds American, and not in a good way.

It's quite early 1990s American - Corey Feldman, Corey Haim, plus numerous others in sitcoms etc.

I don't dislike it, but I think if you announced 'This is my son Corey', my first thought would be 'Corrie? - She must really love Coronation Street!!'

Very very american, specifically California mid 1970s. Went to school with about a dozen of them! I quite like it but it has a certain surfer-ness about it--if it's not likely your son will have floppy blond or sun-bleached hair I would skip it.

Have seen it spelled Cory or Corey.

Have just seen your name is Dawn, would go really well with Corey! Do you have other DC?

I quite like it. Went to school with a nice girl called Corey (American) and worked with an interesting bloke named Corey too. Definitely prefer it to Theo.

An ex bf (years ago) used to call a certain part of the male anatomy his 'cory', wasn't some weird pet name either, all his mates called penises 'cories' This was in Islington, north London.
That in itself would put me off

I'd assume you were a catfish enthusiast.

It make me think of the main character frm 'Boy Meets World', he was a nice kid so I think it's a god name if you dont mind people thinking he/you are American.

I loved it when first pregnant with my 2nd son....
until my hubby told me that all his rugby friends said it was also the name of a "mans bits" lol

Am glad in a way though as I am not keen on it now ( even without the penis thing! lol ) and much prefer the name we used

I know of 2 boys with that name both are around 9 yrs old
