Logan for a boy
Harley for a girl.

We are just TTCing ATM so are thinking these names.

Logan is from Xmen and Harley is from a relatively new batman character.

What do you think? Please be as honest as you like Im not bothered if you like or hate them.

Cheers

You have picked names based on comic book characters

Harley is dreadful.

Logan is kinda cool, but don't like Harley, sorry. Not very feminine - makes me think of bikes...

Both awful. Tacky and American.

Logan is lovely. Harley is a boys name

Logan is not bad, but I always thought Harley was a boy's name? Not keen on it I'm afraid.

Lulu is much better, esp as a nickname for Louise/a. Louisa, in fact, would probably be fairly unusual atm.

Kevin Smith called his daughter Harley Quinn. I like it!

Really, as in Harlequin? (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harlequin)

That seems more unfortunate to me.

Dont like either tbh
Harley slightly better than Logan though

I have a nephew called Harley, so I think of it as a boy's name. (Don't like it for either girl or boy I'm afraid, although my nephew is completely lovely)

Ralfandra?

Sorry, I don't like any of your names. But I am old fashioned and boring.

i like logan. if you're going for comic book characters what about jean? or Lois?

Report
greygirl · 25/02/2010 15:09

or what about Arwen (LOTR)?

Can anyone remember what She-Ra's name was in real life? (as in real life in the cartoon..)

Adora

Report
batwoman79 · 25/02/2010 15:30

Thanks for your suggestions.

Harley's from Batman real name is Harlene Quinzell (sorry not sure how to spell it) but her alias is Harley Quinn. Think thats a bit too silly for a commoner like me. Im not famous enough to get away with it

Im liking Adora dont know what DH will say to that one.

Why Adora? Just go for She-ra.
And He-man for a boy obviously.

I can cope with Logan but not Harley.

Martin Kemp from Spandau Ballet and his wife called their daughter Harley Moon. She must be nearly 20 now.....

Ralfandra

I would think the dad's name is ralf and the mum's is sandra!

Are you sure you're old enough to procreate? Why must they be characters from comics?

Logan good, Harley bad.

i have to say in the OPs defence, I have met several children named after star-trek and buffy the vampire slayer characters (you meet a lot of people working in a hospital). I suppose it's no different to naming them after a character in any other story or film.

And I have met a young man named proteus (which is a type of urine infection, much to my great amusment/astonishment).
