Need to get this sorted, its driving me mad!

I am due in 7 weeks so I know I have a little time but I need to be organised. We have a boys name sorted and if its a girl we have decided on Iris. We just need a middle name and we keep going round in circles with it, its driving me mad!
Because the S at the end of Iris links on to the beginning of other names it sometimes doesn't sound right.

Anyway please give me some suggestions. I just can't rest knowing that I don't have the name completely sorted.

Thanks in advance x

What sort of style do you like?

Fwiw we only decided ds's name a couple of days before he was born.

Names I have thought about are:

Iris Elodie
Iris Athena
Iris Eleanor
Iris Xanthe
Iris Orlaith/Orla

I would like something a little different as a MN. None of these are 'the one' iykwim

I see what you mean with the S of iris running into things...

I think names starting with D, sound like a clean break after an S. You obviously like Greek names so how about

Delphine
Daphne

or maybe

Penelope
Phoebe
Phyllida

Names starting with a B would work well too but I can't think of any greek ones...

If you choose a middle name that starts with a vowel, it's always going to sound a little bit like the two names run together. But TBH I don't think it really matters. Love love love Iris by the way.

My grandmother is Iris Marjorie - for some reason everyone calls her Madge!! Except for my grandad who called her Lubby!!!!!

I quite liked the idea of using Iris but my husband is Ian and thought it best to avoid using the same initials!

Iris is a really nice choice.

For a middle name how about...

Iris Francesca
Iris Delilah
Iris Annelie
Iris Victoria
Iris Juliet
Iris Madeleine
Iris Eva
Iris Adeline

Just saw your other ideas - Iris Alana and Iris Elana are pretty but I think Elena or Eleanor are nicer and less confusing for spelling etc.

Thank you so much for the suggestions. Have also thought of going shorted and for a one syllable middle name.

Thoughts of Iris Eve and Iris Maeve?
