seriously?

DP has always had this on HIS shortlist, i personally cannot abide it, but it's here again on his shortlist......

Okay i gave into Gabriel - well not gave in as such (I was 21 with my first bump, and she is now 6, i vetoed Gabriel then if a blue bump, but grew up and saw it had real style and our gorgeous 10 mth old son is a delighful Gabriel Henry)

But Charity? - It does not help that his surname is also one open to ridicule - think a dog in Eastenders

...Dingle.

Not good.

Now i love both of those, but he hates them!

Kepp the no's coming so i can make him see it will NEVER be a contender.

It's rather 'Dingle' imo.

(oh no i just realised he likes Cain too!)

Charity?? Out of all the girls' names on God's green earth - he likes Charity best?

Grace?
Patience?
Hope?
Faith?

or going with biblical names that aren't actually virtues:

Rebekah/Rebecca
Rachael
Naomi
Teresa
Martha

Sorry Whyme2 - didn't mean to offend. Just not to my taste (along with Hope, Faith, Grace etc.)...

have to say, though, i do love the name, but i couldn't call my children Faith, Hope and Charity: because as we all know, the bible states that Charity is the greatest of the three, and you wouldn't want her to grow up thinking she was better than her sisters, would you?

I like Charity a lot more than Verity. But I think Carys is far nicer, even though it doesn't mean charity.

Yes, Charity is better than Verity. [/not hard]

He likes Cain? Dear Lord - there is no hope for him.

Constance?
Hope?
or something else biblical - Naomi, Ruth, Rebecca, Sarah, Elizabeth

I am Rebecca so that is out, and i love Martha but for him it's a definate no.

I like Grace, he likes Gracie however that is out as we have two G's (a boy and a girl)

It isn't so much that he likes a faith name, he just likes THAT name.

I see there are some people who like it? Hmmn i thought i'd have a definitive no.

Well it is certainly a no for me
