So what do you think?

These were my grannies names we're thinking of one of them as either a first or middle.

I haven't seen Lettuice spelt like that before - I've always seen it spelt 'Lettice'.

I think Antoinette is preferable out of the two; Lettuice would probably get lots of salad jokes and misspellings.

I love Lettice, but i think that the teasing wouldn't be good tbh

Antoinette is nice though

Antoinette - i imagine a beautiful, charasmatic and intelligent woman

Lettuice, i think will get called Wet Lettuce and lots of salad jokes!

How about

Antoinette Lettuice ........

I think both could lend themselves to a bit of teasing (as in either 'wet' or 'off with her head' type 'witticisms') although have seen both in recent Telegraph/Times BAs.

The alternative might be to go for a version of, such as Antonia or Laetitia/Letticia (not so keen on that last pair though!)

Am genuinely undecided.

I think Antoinette is beautiful. Haven't heard the other name and I thought you'd written lettuce at first.

I like Antoinette -- I prefer Letitia to Lettice by a long shot. Antoinette Letitia? Letitia Antoinette?

Antoinette (but the Italian version) is my cow of a MIL so I just see an old bitter and twisted bag unfortunately.

It's very old lady without the chic here, even without taking into account my MIL, don't know about other European countries where it's the norm (France etc)

Lettice just says wet I'm afraid, and I think you're asking for pi$$ takers.

Antonia is much nicer, and after all is only grown up Antoinette!

Antoinette is nice - can do various nicknames with it (I'd go for Toni)

Lettice only as a middle name and if you really loved that granny!

Antoinette and Antonia are both lovely. I would also go for Letitia rather than Lettice. Titia (Tisha) is a great shortening.
