I know a Cecilia who shortens it to Celia if that's any help.

Celia. Cecilia is a bit fussy.

I like Celia, Cecilia makes the song go through my head ('I'm down on my knees, I'm begging you please, to come home, come on home')

my sister is Celia and people always ask her if her "real" name is Cecilia...

I prefer Cecilia if I'm honest.

Be careful of people shortening it to "Seal" - which I'm sure is not what you're after at all!

I like both, but prefer Cecilia. Or Cecelia.

Prefer Cecilia. What about Cecily - even nicer imho.
The Celia I know is always called 'Ceal'.

We had Cecily on our ;list but DH thought it sounded like a rabbit from Beatrix Potter

I like them both, but prefer Cecilia.

Cecilia is prettier but will end up Celia for short anyway so you can't lose if you choose Cecilia. Although I prefer Cecille personally.

Love both, Camille also lovely in the same vein.

we have Cecelia as DD2's MN and I love it, had I thought we would have DD3 I would have kept it and used it for her with nn Cece

DD3 is Cordelia and Camille was a consideration!

Love both - how many syllables does your surname have?

Long surname - Celia
Short - Cecilia

Doesn't make a difference - go for Cecilia

I vote for Cecilia. Although be prepared for people to spell it 'Cecelia'.

SpiceWeasel - ours is after a family spelling, its a valid spelling too although possibly not as common
