Lol, absolutely agreed. We originally really liked the name Toby, but very quickly realised that wouldn't be very good.

We are thinking of making it a middle midle name (i.e. between 2 others) for a boy but we'll see.

I also liked the name Juno years ago but again quickly realised that wasn't a goer!

I only say a massive no to it because my surname is very similar (just put an s on the end). I have cousin called Thomas who was teased relentlesly through secondary school.

I like Carys, will suggest that tonight. Not so keen on Saul with Watt because it sounds quite like 'So' to me.

It's mainly girl's names we are struggling with but we don't know what we're having as baby was being very modest at the scan.

It's a Scottish name, I think, isn't it, so I might be inclined to go with something Scottish like Isobel.

It is Scottish yes. I hadn't thought of Isobel but actually that's quite nice. I think I like the spelling Isabel though. I also like Eleanor. OH will probably say no chance when I go in, but then I have 'no chanced' a quite a few names he likes .

My Mum likes Isabella, but anything ending in 'a' I think can sound a bit funny with Watt eg it sounds a bit like Isla What? Rosa What? etc. Really like both of those names but sound a bit funny to me.

I think I'd avoid names starting with s to avoid 'swot' nickname.

I had a friend called Lewis and that seemed to go ok.

I'd be thinking fairly serious, elegant names with a gender-traditional bottom but avoiding too posh an aftertaste.
